All is set for the handing over and commissioning of the new Greater Accra Regional Driver and Licence Authority (DVLA) office complex at Kwabenya in Accra.
The Deputy Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, responsible for Lands and Forestry, Mr. Benito Owusu-Bio, together with the Deputy Executive Secretary in charge of operations at the Lands Commission, Mr. Maxwell Adu-Nsafoa, embarked on a final inspection at the new facility.
In an interview with the media, the Deputy Minister on behalf of Government expressed satisfaction with the work output and commended the contractor, Unique Development, for the beautiful edifice.
He added that the almost-ready facility will accommodate all activities of the Regional DVLA, giving them a bigger and better facility, and a more conducive environment to do their work.
He noted that the input of DVLA has been keenly considered in every detail of the project to suit their specifications.
Answering a question on the bad access road to the site, Mr. Benito assured that his Ministry has been in talks with the Ministry of Roads and Urban Roads to soon commence construction of the roads to help avoid traffic.
He re-echoed that this edifice is part of the President’s drive to ensure that government can leverage private investment for public development.
