I don’t know Kaaka!!
I never heard of him until last night when I saw Barker H Vogues and Bashiratu Kamal-Muslim’s posts on his death, then I went asking questions!!
This is bad and scary!!!
This must be investigated as fast as possible and the perpetrators punished.
1. This does not look good on the Ghana Police Service (and I am a police daughter, so the image of the police matters to me)….
2. It does not look good on government, the state and the country (and I am a proud Ghanaian and will always be irrespective of who is in power)….
3. And it is scary for all of us, especially those of us who believe in, champion and fight for one cause or another (which most of the time makes some people uncomfortable ).
We have become too intolerant!!!
We easily get angry and violent over things that in the long run, will benefit all of us!!!
Our anger is no more for ‘righteous causes’ but for selfish gains!!!
Yes, some of us suffered threats, insults, ridicule etc and still do sometimes for what we stand for…..but to kill someone?
Indeed, None of us is safe, if one of us is not safe!!!
May Kaaka Rest In Peace and May his death not be in vain!!
Police arrest two suspects
Police in the Ashanti Region arrested two persons in connection with the killing of Ibrahim Muhammed aka Kaaka, a social activist in Ejura.
The suspects have been identified as Ibrahim Isaka and Fuseini Alhassan.
“Both were arrested at about 10:45 pm on Monday, 28th June 2021, following police intelligence,” Godwin Ahianyo, the Ashanti Regional Police PRO said.
According to police, “witness accounts show that the [Ibrahim Muhammed] was ambushed in front of his house when he was returning home on his motorbike at about 1:30 am on Sunday, 27th June 2021.”
After the attack, he was rushed to the Ejura Government Hospital and later referred to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital where he died at midday on Monday.
Sahada Hudu, Ibrahim Muhammed’s widow, found him in a pool of blood after the attack.
“I thought my husband was driving away goats from the house at the time. Little did I know that he was being attacked. We saw him in a pool of blood. The people bolted as soon as we opened the door to check what was happening,” she recounted to Citi News after his death.
Ibrahim Muhammed, aged 45, was noted to be a known voice on both local and national issues using his Facebook page.
Unconfirmed reports suggest he’s a member of the Economic Fighters League and recently the #FixTheCountry movement.
His last activity on Facebook was to share a post criticising the arrest of 15 members of the #TheFixCountry at the High Court Complex on June 25.
The Economic Fighters League in a statement said “justice must be served for Kaaka, for we are all Kaaka.”
