Two individuals have lost their lives after fatal road crash at Fianko, near Suhum, off Accra-Kumasi Highway.
Suhum Municipal Fire Station responded to a road traffic collision at Fianko, Family Village, on Wednesday, 22nd July 2026. The crash involved a DAF fuel tanker and a Kia Frontier. On arrival, the crew conducted a search and confirmed that no occupants were trapped.
Two male casualties were recorded at the scene. Preliminary information indicated that the Kia Frontier allegedly lost control of the steering, crossed into the opposite lane, and collided head-on with the oncoming tanker. Both vehicles sustained significant damage, while the tanker was carrying approximately 54,000 litres of fuel.
The Ghana National Fire Service secured the scene and ensured it was safe for subsequent recovery operations.
