The District Chief Executive of Kwahu Afram Plains South, Moses Tangmee, has reaffirmed the Assembly’s commitment to youth empowerment as he engaged participants during a practical training session in Livestock Rearing and Food Processing.
The training programme, held under the NDC Government’s flagship programme “ADWUMAWURA”, was organized by the Member of Parliament, Joseph Appiah Boateng, in collaboration with Rural Enterprise Development and the MasterCard Foundation.
In the picture above, the DCE is seen interacting directly with the youth, sharing practical knowledge on modern livestock rearing techniques and farm management at a local livestock facility in the district.
The initiative aims to equip young people in Kwahu Afram Plains South with employable and entrepreneurial skills to enable them to start their own businesses.
As part of the programme, the MasterCard Foundation will provide business start-up support to participants upon completion of the training, to help them transition from training to enterprise.
Addressing the participants, Mr. Tangmee urged the youth to take the training seriously, remain disciplined, and make good use of the opportunity to become job creators instead of job seekers.
The MP, Joseph Appiah Boateng, also expressed appreciation to the MasterCard Foundation and Rural Enterprise Development for partnering with the Constituency to bring development and opportunities to the youth.
The enthusiasm and commitment shown by the participants is a clear indication that the future of Kwahu Afram Plains South is bright.
